A Thrilling Sci-fi Western from Cloaked Press, LLC.

Finn Rucker boards a starship seeking a fresh start as part of a colonizing effort on Joya. The race, sponsored by Governus, yields free land and startup funds for the lucky winners. The number of entrants guarantees someone is going to lose, but Finn is determined she and her bionic horse, Herc, will be among the winners.

Racing through an uncharted jungle to the settlement of Novus, Finn and her fellow racers soon discover not everything is as it seems. Governus withheld information from the contestants, strange beasts attack the racers, mechanical equipment fails, and the very air seems out to get them.

When all seems lost, a mysterious people arrive with a lifeline, revealing the depth of Governus’ deception. Now, Finn will have to keep her pulse pistols close and her new friends closer – but not too close – as they all race to survive the jungle.

Fans of Firefly will love this mashup of Hidalgo and James Cameron’s Avatar as Finn navigates the guilt of her past, the promise of a future, and the imminent dangers of her present.

A Romantic Urban Fantasy Novella

Cleo is a hard-working, art loving, very non-magical police officer who hasn't been on a date in four years. While investigating a vandalism complaint at the train station, she meets Rask, a charming man who, unbeknownst to her, is both the leader of a magical preservation society and on the run from rival relic hunters.

When a railway foot-chase leads Cleo to a chance encounter with an ancient idol and an unexpected kiss from Rask, she is left with glowing hands she didn't ask for, nor wanted. As more magic bursts loose, romantic heat swells, quirky friends meddle, and rival thugs present a looming threat, Cleo's hopes of getting rid of the power and returning to her normal life hinge on not being Rask's soulmate.

But... should she hope for that?

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.

- Pablo Picasso -

You're only given one little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

- Robin Williams -

My little spark of madness shows itself in many different creative forms - and perhaps a smidge in my sense of humor too. It causes all kinds of wonderful mischief in my life. I absolutely love the quotes above. I encourage everyone out there to find your own unique spark. When you do, embrace it, nurture it, and let it grow - for it makes us who we are.
